Classical music lovers will have the time of their life when the American Handel Festival bursts upon the Seattle music scene from the 11th till the 27th of March this year. This festival is usually a four day event, but this time it will cover a period of 17 days. Most of the events will take place at Seattle music venues in the neighborhood of First Hill. There will be up to 30 concerts, a conference, and two workshops – one of them offering a chance to sing Handel choruses oneself.
This Seattle music festival will be kick-started with a pair of Seattle Symphony concerts on March 11 and 12, titled "Songs of Cleopatra". The Seattle live music venues will include Town Hall, and the St. James Cathedral.

Go Periscope is a Seattle band composed of Joshua Frazier and Florin Merano. In their two years of playing music in Seattle together, they have earned some impressive achievements, with their music being featured on hit MTV reality shows "The Hills" and "The Real World", and topping the C89.5 FM charts. Now the electronic-pop duo has a change to land the Rolling Stone magazine cover as one of 16 bands facing off in a competition to be the first unsigned band to appear on the magazine's prestigious cover.

This contest is an effort by Rolling Stone to draw attention to both its print and online content, as the voting and exploration of the bands happens online, but the ultimate prize is in print. Go Periscope's Frazier says that the thought of being on a physical cover "is probably the biggest, biggest dream come true" for the band.
