Seattle Music Camp for Girls
Music from Seattle has been influential for many music fans across the United States. Now, Seattle music is even influencing young children as seen trough the Girls Rock! Seattle Summer Camp. Eighty four girls have joined this camp which highlights the talents of young music makers in Seattle. The camp is a week-long event at Billings Middle School in Greenlake. The camp includes a number of music classes to help instruct the girls on musical techniques. In addition, it comprises of workshops on stage presence, the history of women in music and even self defense and music. As part of the camp, the girls will come together to form their own bands and write songs that they will showcase to the others.
