Why worry about file transfers when you can use a link

The west coast has a vibrant music scene and Seattle is one of the cornerstones. When there is such a wealth of great music, it's natural to want to let your friends hear the best of it. File transfers are simple to do and so making a CD, or, just emailing the file, will spread the music. That's the way to do it if you want to get in to trouble because copying and sharing music is against the law.
But, with web hosting being so cheap, have you thought about setting up links to the music? There are lots of free web hosting services as well, and, if you don't download the music to a website you shouldn't require a lot of bandwidth, a free site should work well.
All you need to do is put a website together based on the genre(s) of music you love and then blog about them. You could provide links to other sites that host the music and so you wouldn't be falling foul of any copyright infringement because you wouldn't be copying the music, you would just be letting people know which website to go to in order to hear it.
Hey! I like this idea, I might even go off and do it myself!
